Rider Bio
Penny Johnson is a 4* event rider and coach based in Victoria, Australia. She works full time in the equestrian and racing industry from pre training racehorses to working with top level event horses and showjumpers, coaching students and competing Australia wide. Penny has a passion for producing horses to the best of their ability and helping her students to achieve their riding goals.
Career
Penny first started riding at the age of two, she was born in to a family that bred royal quality show ponies and the earlier part of her life was spent in the show ring. In her teen years she found her passion for jumping and was able to obtain a schoolmaster that she formed a great partnership with, the pair went on to compete in the Young Rider at Australian International 3DE and complete their first 4* together , Penny just aged 19 years old at this point. From here Penny went on to produce a string of horses to FEI level and place at 4* level on multiple occasions with her current top level mount, that she hopes to go on to 5* with.
