How To Measure Your Horse To Choose The Correct Equilume Light Mask Size

What you will need:

  1. A soft measuring tape (tailor’s tape works best).
  2. A notebook and pen or phone to record measurements A, B and C.

A

Measure length from cheekbone to cheekbone over the poll

  • Using a soft measuring tape (such as tailor’s tape) measure from the lowest point of the cheekbone, running the tape up behind the horse’s ears, across the poll to the cheekbone on the other side of the horse’s face.
  • Record this measurement as A.

B

Measure distance between the eyes

  • Place the start of the measuring tape under the center of the horse’s left eye.
  • Stretch the tape smoothly across the bridge of the horse’s nose to just under the center of the right eye.
  • Record this measurement as B.

C

Measure circumference of nose

  • Measure the circumference of horse’s nose at the midpoint near the bottom of cheekbone.
  • Record this measurement as C.
